Deer Chihuahua

I am a Deer Chihuahua, my legs are long so I can dance for you. I also like to give ninja kisses when your not looking.
My favorite place is on your lap, or head, or chest. It doesn’t matter as long as I am with you.
My ears are big so I can hear very well. That way I can be the first one to bark warning you of danger, and that the pizza has arrived.
I am only seven pounds so I can snuggle into your coat when we walk my big brother, the one you say is a Labrador. Besides it keeps me nearer to you.
I like the winter coat you bought me, the one with the hoodie, though I can live without the dress you think is adorable.
I am your Deer (Dear) Chihuahua, your faithful companion, guardian and friend.

Missing You

I loved you unconditionally even
though we are worlds apart.
When you breathed I breathed in rhythm with you.
Where you went I long to be there too.
When you left me for another existence I cried for days, howling in my sorrow.
To let go is something my heart just cannot do.

Labrador kisses

Mr. Brooks the retired working dog.
He spent his young years in the service of another, now its time for fun.
He’s still dedicated to his craft on occasion and helps me along when I least realize it. He heals my sadness with Labrador kisses.
I’m thankful for my blessed boy and so proud to be his new mom!

Be respectful when you see a working dog always ask before you pet.

10 Best places for your cat to relax and unwind.

!. Katmandu….. Because it’s too obvious. (insert groan here)

2. Japan…..Hello Kitty.

3. The basement of your home….So they can hide for hours ignoring you while you panic and think they have snuck out of the house only to come out after you’ve spent 100 dollars making up missing cat fliers.

4. New York Catskills … Just another too obvious. (insert eye roll here)

5. The top of the refrigerator….Where there is a panoramic birds eye view of various culinary treats made to order.

6. Your lap…. Coziest place in the house.

7. Laundry basket…Only if full of nice clean clothes fresh out of the dryer they can roll in.

8. Your bed….The classier vacation spots would include your bed with a favorite toy mouse buried somewhere in it for you to find at a later date, like later that evening when you freak thinking the mouse is real.

9. Top of the television….Best seat in the house to let their tail hang down during your favorite show.

10. Top of any stairwell…. Great for cats to lay across while you take that wide step over them to reach the first step heading down. This turns into optional downhill slalom skiing for them as they run between your legs to beat you to the bottom step while you hang on for dear life to the hand rails.

Blondes really do have more fun!

Brooks is a retired Guide Dog for the blind 80 pounds of Labrador fun! When you see a guide or service dog show respect for both guide and the person on the other end of the leash. They are working dogs so please don’t take it upon yourself to approach and pet, shove, kick the animal. Always ask before petting.
